Format,  Structure, Organization and Style

Typed, single spaced, 12 point font. Include rubric unless submitted directly to Taskstream.

Paper is clearly structured and logically organized. The writer maintains consistency in tense and person, uses the active voice, employs appropriate diction, and uses proper grammar and punctuation.

Paragraphs are unified and clearly structured: topic sentence, supporting sentences, concluding sentence. Writer uses transitions to connect ideas within and between paragraphs.

Artifact Narrative

70

You will write a one to two page narrative  that makes an explicit connection between your autobiography, your field experience and your educational philosophy and the
INTASC Standards: Click below and go to page 14 http://www.ccsso.org/content/pdfs/corestrd.pdf

Brief standards list: http://www.edci.purdue.edu/phillion/edci205/intasc_principles.htm

and the College of Education Guiding Themes. This connection will be constructed by explaining:

  • What the items are
  • Why the items were selected, and
  • How they develop understanding of INTASC guiding principles (choose at least three; 3, 4, 5 and 9 may be most relevant) and COE Themes.

Post to e-portfolio

50

Post 3 files from the course (autobiography, philosophy and one journal entry) and the artifact narrative  to your e-portfolio.  If your eportfolio is incomplete or incorrect and your instructor has to return it to you for any reason you will automatically lose 5 points from your final grade.  You will continue to lose 5 points for each additional time the instructor has to return your project to you for revision.
It is imperative that you complete and double check your eportfolio project before you submit it for approval.  You will fail EDCI 205 if you do not submit and gain approval for your eportfolio.

Directions for how to do an ePortfolio are located at: http://www.taskstream.com

Total = 160 points
