- Scott Schaffer: Purdue PI of a new collaborative NSF CCLI phase two grant, Collaborative Research: Validating Assessment Procedures and Interventions for Enhancing Interdisciplinary Teamwork and Ethical Awareness in Undergraduate Project Teams
- Johannes Strobel: Co-PI of new NSF DR-K12 grant, R&D: Quality Cyber-Enabled Engineering Education Professional Development to Support Teacher Change and Student Acheivement.
- Lisette Reyes and Nuray Temur: Finalists in the PacifiCorp Student Design Competition. Lisette and Nuray will compete against two other university teams at the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) conference in Orlando this November.
- Anne Ottenbreit-Leftwich (young researcher), Krista Glazewski, Timothy Newby, and Peggy Ertmer: The winner of the 2008 Young Researcher Award in AECT for their paper entitled "Values Associated with Using Technology to Address Professional and Student Needs"
- Peg Ertmer, Don Stepich, Sara Flanagan, Aslihan Kocaman, Christian Reiner, Lisette Reyes, Adam Santone, and Shigetake Ushigusa: AECT Conference 2008 Featured Research Paper Presenters, " Impact of Guidance on the Problem-Solving Efforts of Instructional Design Novices"
- Tim Newby: Inducted into Purdue's Book of Great Teachers in the fall of 2008. Inductions, which occur only once every 5 years, honor outstanding teaching faculty with at least 10 years of service to Purdue.
- Peg Ertmer: Recipient of a SAIL grant from the International Programs Office, collaborating with Turkish faculty and students to create an international community of learning (funded for $6500)
- Minchi Kim: Recipient of a 2008 Robert C. Anderson Award from the University of Georgia. This award is given annually two individuals to recognize research excellence of recent graduates of the UGA Graduate School.
- Cindy York: Recipient of 2009 department and college graduate teaching awards. Also, a recipient of the Graduate School's Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award, one of only four given campuswide.
- Chris Mong: This yearıs recipient of the DeBruicker Graduate Award in Educational Technology. This award is given annually based on performance in the completion and reporting of basic and applied research projects.
