Upon arrival on the Purdue University campus, Institute participants will be staying in student housing located within walking distance from institute classrooms. Residence assistants have been recruited from the College of Education who have had previous experience as working as counselors in summer youth camps. They will be available in every morning and evening to assist institute participants.
Mid July, Institute participants will transfer to their host families. All host families live in the vicinity of Purdue University. Host families will provide meals, supervision, and a program of family activities during the length of the home stay. All families were screened for suitability for hosting the BFTF participants.
